That's about the right size.

It was released before the DVD, and some changes were made (including the severed hand in the cantina, typo fixes in the credits and minor continuity work) in the interim.

Ok, I'm ready to cut a deal with you all. My school's server attacked the USB script conversion in my HDD and all I'm left with is a paperweight.

So I'm willing to edit the film for a standard monitor and stereo audio mix AND release it in half the time.

If you guys like it and would like it in better quality, when all 6 films are released on Bluray and Bluray rom's become the norm for computers I will edit the three films AGAIN, making correction to anywhere you guys felt needed fixing and have it in 7.1 surround sound and full 1080p video.

This way you guys can preview the film, and together we can discuss what needs fixing and then the 1080p version will be flawless.

Go for it. I'm ready to see your cut.

Are you for sure going for alternate music cuts?

I fix the aspect ratio and everything but now it's pixelated and laggy.... I just ran a scan over the source DVD and Adywan's cut is 720X304 with a 23 framerate... so looks like I wasn't bringing down the quality.... now onto AOTC!

The DVD version of ANH:R is 720 x 480 and not 720 x 304 because its anamorphic. Are you resizing it to non anamorphic for your edit?

The program I used just removed the black bars so the size was correct. Regardless I lost that data. I might do it in DVD quality but in stereo sound.

Ok guys, here's an update. I'm not gonna make trailers, but I am working on the full thing in the full resolution and surround sound again.

I still don't know what I'm going to do about the AOTC and ROTS deleted scenes... would someone else be willing to rip them for me? You don't even need to convert them. Thank you.

Hey guys, dropping surround sound again. Sorry. I'll set it to a smart pan though so you should still get a 6 speaker output.

Thanks Ripplin. If anyone else wants to take a go at a better a Logo, I'll use that instead. Mine's pretty mediocre, I know.

What's the problem with the surround sound?

It's really frustrating me beyond belief for two reasons mostly:

1. When I import an AVI with surround sound the audio won't play in Sony Vegas 9

2. I don'y have to patience to edit it if all six audio channels are losse and unatached to eachother.

But as I said before, I'll do it in DVD resolution and panned surround sound so that if everyone likes it, I can do it in 7.1 surround sound and 1080p when Star Wars comes out on blu-ray and BD-ROMs become the norm.

I've been wondering; is 7.1 really that great? From what I remember, it's not so much an extra channel as it is an extra rear center that plays the same stuff as the other rear center. So it expands the sound field but doesn't really add anything to it?

Maybe I'll have to read up on it, but I just remember not being impressed by it. Maybe I'm wrong, too.

Well if the audio editor puts enough effort into it, it'lll make a big difference.
