Here is a modified "Needa shuttle" scene using the images above:
-sorry for the jagged edges - I'm on another computer and just have MS paint to work with-
(1) I horizontally flipped the upper SD shuttle shot to differentiate it from the JEDI shot
(2) I flipped the Executor and shrunk it by 40% (this also keeps consistency in previous scenes where fleet was moving right to left thru asteroid sequence)
(3) cloned SD on left of Executor from unmolested shot (so it's a little bit larger than the SD on the left in this final shot) and inserted on right side (to fill in the space as well as indicate the general direction of the fleet).
(4) I also moved the SD on the left further away from the Executor as it was almost ramming it.
(5) also consider having the Executor and 2 background SDs slowly move towards the bottom left, with the star field slowly moving to the upper right, as the foreground SD slowly moves towards the center point of the frame.
(6) also keep in mind the light source: in the original shot, Needa's SD should be in shadow. At least with the flipped JEDI SD, the left side is lighter than the right, which matches the light source falling on the Executor and sister SDs.
(7) in regards to the shot length, you could probably start the SD with the nose at the center point (as opposed to it coming into frame, passing overhead, THEN the shuttle drops down, etc), show the shuttle - unfold, and move away and then cut 2 or 3 seconds after unfolding.
(8) and in regards to whether Needa should use the prettier Lamda class or the Box class shuttle, well he IS the captain of a mile long Star Destroyer. I would think that, being that he is going to apologize to Vader in person (thus Vader would wait patiently), he would take his captain's shuttle and try to leave a good impression (as opposed to going the cheap Motel 6 shuttle pod route). Instead, all he left was a dead body. HIS OWN!
Changed shot also indicates Needa's cruiser moving towards Executor to prepare him for Vader meeting.
