Ok I still cannot find the link anymore on this site http://fanedit.org/517/ to download the torrents. Is it still there and I am just missing it, or did someone take it down? I'd like to have DVD-9 with the deleted scenes, but I only have 10 or the 80 files downloaded. Any help here would be hot.

Jason

The MPAA took it down.  The whole site.  You're on your own on finding the rest of the rapidshare links.  Someone might have them handy, but there is no easy way anymore.

WOW!! I just got the movie-only downloaded and burned to a dvd just in time. Does anyone have the DVD-9 burned to a dvd that they would be willing to copy for me? You can either send me a pm or email me jlw515@hotmail.com thanks.

FE.org isn't down.  The links have all been removed.  Try contacting Adywan directly via email or PM.  He might be able to hook you up.

Star Wars: Revisited Disc Art EXTREME!!!!

When someone asks me to send them a copy of SW:R, I make it a multi-disc set - DVD9 is the "Full" version and Purist Edition is the "Bonus" disc.

To that end, I created a plethora of disc art variations based on Ady's original and a modified Purist version in green posted by someone named "snaggletooth" earlier in this thread.

Well, here now in one 30MB RAR file is all 36 of my disc art variations.  Well, 34 1/2.  Ady's original is in there for the sake of completeness, but obviously I can't take credit for that version.  I also created my own version of Snaggletooth's green Purist label so that the color tone would match the others.

All together, there are 9 different colors, silver and gold Star Wars logos and regular and Purist Edition markings.  I didn't put any NTSC, PAL or Region Code markings on there, so they'll be accurate no matter which version you have.  You can always add those yourself if you really want them.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

Well, I figured that covers (no pun intended) pretty much everyone's taste in color choices for the different versions unless you're an artist or photo editor of some kind, at which point you're making your own disc and cover art anyway.

ziz is THE MAN!! Thank you, Thank you sir!! I've got two different versions of adywan's revisited. One version shows Ponda Baba's flipper hand cut off on the Cantina floor; the other shows Dr. Evazan's hand on the Cantina floor. I think there is a difference between how Alderaan looks when it blows up also. I think one has like a nova-ring and the other doesn't. Anyway, does anyone know which version is which? I think I'm kinda liking the version with Dr. Evazan's hand, even though the original (cut) version did show Ponda Baba's. The gun matches Dr. Evazan's and it does look like Obi-Wan strikes the Dr. Also, I am liking Adywan's edit of the Mos Eisley streets better and better. Not really missing the ronto-humor anymore. However, just can't seem to accept Chewie and the medal. Jason

If you look at that scene closely again you will see i added an extra shot of leia preparing the medal and chewie steps forward in the right hand side of the frame, then we cut to Luke as she gives it chewie. So it doesn't miraculously appear. Its a quick shot so easy to miss on first viewing.

I'll have to double check that.

Do you think it is possible to make Han walk in front of Jabba in the deleted Jabba scene? I really love that scene except for that one thing. However, if you were to ever fix it and put it in; you'd have to put the Han vs. Greedo dialogue back to the original (cut) version where Greedo tells Han to "get up or must I finish this here" and Han replies "I don't think they'd like another killing".

Also, do you have the CD Death Star image without the Star Wars logo and writing? I'd love to use that image in some of my customizing dioramas and such!

Awesome work adywan, can't wait to see Empire!

Without having a 1976 Harrison Ford to do/say what we want, making Han walk in front of Jabba when the only footage we have is blocked by Jabba's fat CG body would be pretty hard, and having Han say things he we don't have recordings of at all would be impossible.

Adywan has said that he is done with ANHR.  If people are able to add thoses scenes back in, that's great, but Ady's not going to be the one to do it.  He's too deep into ESB.

The original dialogue from the Han vs Greedo scene is on the Making of the Magic Cd and can also be seen on several youtube clips. The original (cut) scene doesn't say anything about being boarded by Imperials - that was going to be saved for later. When Lucas saw that he wasn't going to be able to use the Jabba scene he put the whole "You think I had a choice, even I get boarded sometime" voice over in the Han vs. Greedo scene to explain why Han owes a debt to Jabba.

I'm sure with some of adywan's magic he could have made Han walk in front of Jabba. Maybe if I learn some stuff about video editing I will make it my crusade to fix that scene; and the stupid double edit of Chewie entering the docking bay!

I just hope that if someone does use Adywan's edit as a starting point that they use it more for its color-correctedness (Darth Editous did a great job with that, too!) and do something really original with it rather than just fixing tiny things that bug them. The possibilities are endless, really, it just takes another fresh, original take on the whole thing.

I'd be happy to oblige if you still need this, seeing as you were unlucky with FanEdit.org recently.

I have the NTSC version (thankyou auximedies!) as well as the PAL version (thankyou Adywan!), and will send you a PM shortly.

By the way, I really enjoyed seeing those behind-the-scenes shots on the 'Cantina Resource Page', from the site in your signature.  Good stuff.  :)

This ending is crazy!

Some rough cuts, but a lot of fun! :) I like it. A good laugh to start the day, thank you.

thats just too bad, what the MPAA did..

Was this a case of Adywan's cut being a victim of its own success

or did this occur to everything on the web site?

Had nothing to do with Adywan. It started out with them complaining about the contents of a couple of rapidshare links from different users. To be safe, the site has gone into a sort of hibernation, but progress to get it going again in some way is happening quickly!

The additional Greedo dialog, is in english, though, so you'd have to translate it by creating more fake Huttese and loop that in with existing Greedo footage (the BTM footage has faded to sepia, and has the same problems as the rest of the BTM footage, being that it's at a low framerate with many scratches).

Han's dialog should be fine, though.

The links on FE were pretty useless to me, as I never bothered to pay for a RS account, except for perhaps getting covers, but that's something you don't really need a huge server for anyway. All they did was point out that certain edits existed and what they contained, and then I could go seek them on my own. So this really changes nothing for me. Who wants to download sixty pieces of a movie and re-assemble them when you can just fire and forget with a torrent? Granted, it's nice when these things are up all the time and you don't need to beg people to seed, but still.

I understand why they drew unwanted attention, they did it to themselves with the links.

I found out a way to "fix" Greedo's dialogue using a combination of old, unused dialogue and existing footage - it all boiled down to cutting Han's "Even I get boarded sometimes" line, and changing the subtitles.

Unfortunately, I've since forgotten, and lost the file I tested it with.  I'm sure it'll come back to me eventually.

And honestly, would we really need to re-record Hutteese, when it's not a real language, and isn't even consistent within the Star Wars universe?  Just change the subtitles.

Finally! hahaha.

Thanks for the link adywan, you are truly gifted at this.

This will be the version of IV that my best friend and I watch on our Star Wars Marathon night.
