Hi Adywan, thanks for all of your efforts in bringing us the next installment of the Star Wars saga!  I can't wait to see it in all of its color corrected glory!  The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite!  :-)

I am very impressed with your work and it has motivated me to try a project of my own.  I want to take my Superman and Superman 2 - Donner Cut HD-DVD's along with the Superman 2 Deluxe DVD and cut and paste the scenes together in my own order to make one movie and produce a final product that I can burn to DVD-9 AVCHD.  The HD-DVD's have Dolby Digital Plus and VC-1.   I will need to upconvert the DVD to match the HD-DVD's and probably re-encode the sound so that it is smooth throughout since I will be chopping up the AC3 all over the place.  Are there any tools out there that will support VC-1 and extract AC3 from DD+ with a final product being encoded to AVCHD with AC3?  I think I saw that you use Vegas, but I am not sure it will support VC-1.  Cyberlink Power Director might work, but it supposedly is buggy and crashes a lot.

Sorry, I don't want to take away from the topic of this thread at all.  I just need to be pointed in the right direction with which tool(s) I need and I can research the rest from there.  You can PM me if you want.  Thanks!!

Mike
