Carrie Fisher on SNL 1978

Author
Time

The fourth season of Saturday Night Live hits DVD on December 2nd. This includes the  episode hosted by Carrie Fisher in full hairbuns and Leia gown.

Our favorite Princess also strips down to a bikini for a parody of those 1960's teen beach musicals. ;)

Damn.  I was hoping to find a clip of it on YouTube.  No dice?  What a drag.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

NBC only wants people to watch SNL clips on their own site these days.

Well, if that's the case, how come my "Carrie Fisher Saturday Night Live" search turned up all kinds of recent SNL clips?

But now that you say that, is it possible the NBC site has '78 SNL clips?

Carrie was the Best Guest they ever had IMHO.  and She looked Beautiful.  I think she was also in one of the "Cone Heads" Comedy Sketches?

The complete SNL episodes is something exciting but the price on those sets is like $70, way too much. Some of us don't need the figurines, lithographs, certificates and other things that add $30 to the price.

I've heard the SNL sets are only available for a limited time. Is that true?

I've not heard anything about them being limited. The earlier sets have come down in price and now come in smaller traditional packaging. The only thing you really lose are the photo booklets. I haven't seen any figurines or anything else of that sort in the sets.

Considering the potential music rights nightmare involved, we're darn lucky these are coming out uncut.

The hard box collectible versions are still available if you hunt for them.  I've gotten for under $40 a season so far.  You just need to keep on top of sales and discount promotions.  If you have to have it the day it comes out, you're always going to overpay.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
