The alledged missing mouse droid scene is nothing but a myth. There is no evidence to support its absense. To support my stance, John Williams recorded the soundtrack to Star Wars in March, 1977. The soundtrack included a piece called "Mouse Robot/Blasting Off." How could Williams have written and recorded music to a scene that did not exist? I just don't buy it. And I certainly don't believe that they simply forgot to add the scene for opening day.

The actress who played Beru was dubbed in all prints. Her actual voice has never been a part of Star Wars.

You're sure her voice was never in a released (for public screening) version of Star Wars? Certainly I gather that a different actress was used for her voice in the mono than in the other versions, so maybe that's two different actresses used to dub her in different versions.

We are quite sure.

This whole myth stems from the fact that the mono Beru is different than the stereo Beru. Also, it is my contention that the same voice actress dubbed both mono and stereo versions. They sound like the same person to me.

As fas as IMDB goes, well, I wouldn't put any stock in their info. It seems to be submitted by zombies and approved by monkeys. Take it seriously at your own risk.

So true.

Seriously, don't believe everything you read on the IMDB or Wiki.
