I would try to tone down the ewoks for ROTJ, they aren't SUPER bad, but I think that most people agree that there could be a compromise here and maybe find a better way to destroy the empire instead of big rocks and sticks...

It would be nice in ESB:R, ROTJ:R or Ady's prequel edits if we saw Stormtrooper/Clonetrooper armor actually deflecting the odd laser bolt or two.

I find it difficult to understand why the boys in white bothered to suit up watching all the Star Wars films.

Sure they look good but it seems that Palpatine was sold a dodgy batch.

In a related point it would be nice, either in ROTJ:R or the prequels to see the Royal Guard effectively guard the Emperor. (perhaps in a re-staged Vader choke scene) we all know they look cool but it would be fun to see why.

Another thing to consider, footage of Jango from Episode II could also be used for this. He would just need to be re-colored & whatnot. It would be cool to see Boba Fett use his flame thrower!

Could also take footage from the deleted scenes so it would not seem familiar to most people

... what deleted scenes with jango... there are none, except that one with him just standing in the background..

Having a Mara Jade appearance during the rancor fight in Jabba's Palace would be fantastic, She is suppose to be a spectator.

4.) When Vader tells the Emperor Luke is on Endor with the revels the Emperor says it's strange he hadn't sensed him.  Yet a few lines later he tells Vader to go down and wait for Luke because he will go to him.  He knows this because he'd foreseen it.  It's always seemed like a contradiction to me.  One of these lines needs to be removed.

To me, the contradiction is meant to show us that the Emporer isn't all-knowing, and that he's starting to make things up as he goes along.

Interesting. I used to figure Empy had forseen Luke coming to Vader, but didn't know when it was going to happen. When he found out Luke was on Endor, he figured this must be the time. He's more into the forseeing than he is into the sensing.

Adywan has stated many times that there will be no EU related alterations whatsoever.

In my opinion, if it takes place DURING the setting of any of the movies, it doesnt count as EU

AMEN TO THAT!!!  The armor was supposed to protect them from laser blasts, yet they die pretty easily.  You could just speed the rate of fire coming from Leia and company so the STs still die on que, but with more lasers coming out of the good guys blasters you could have those extra laser bolts get deflected.

You know, watching this clip here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCEQLvOW4cM&feature=related

It is not so much the "flashback" stuff I would include or comment on, but the end fight between Luke and Vader (4:33 to 5:08).  Whether Luke's eyes go "Sith" (at least until the Emperor confronts him and he regains his composure) or not, SOMETHING has to be done to explain Luke being able to overpower Vader.  Hell, it also looks like David Prowse just LETS Luke womp on him!

Ady: maybe you could add some wind audio FX, modify the scene(s) from EMPIRE where Vader starts pulling stuff off the walls and have Luke pummelling Vader with pieces of equipment and metal as he's attacking him with his green saber (so Vader is fending off Luke's saber attacks while getting hit with chunks of debris).  At least that way you would visually see how Luke overpowers Vader.

Also, is there any way to snazz up the Emperor's room?  Does anyone else feel like it looks like a cheap set?  And when you get around to JEDI, consider taking out some of those really bad and boring overhead shots (2:18-:19).  Those shots look like some 2nd unit director work from a Sci-Fi movie of the week.

Also also, could you edit the dialogue a bit at 3:54 -  (cut out: ..., especially for ... SISTER... so, you have a twin sister... your feelings have now betrayed her too. Obi Wan was wise to hide her from me.  Now his failure is complete).  Still keep: "If you won't turn, then perhaps SHE will."  The reason I ask this is that this section of dialogue is pretty damn hokey, even for STAR WARS standards.  Having Vader say "Your thoughts betray you.  Your feelings for your friends are strong. (pause) If you will not turn, then perhaps SHE will." would be more than adequate and I think more fitting for Vader's character (not as goofy and more to the point)

The idea is that you still have the threat on Leia, but it's not so heavy handed and mustache twirling.  Hell, maybe you could just delete all references to Leia being his sister (as Luke said in Robot Chicken: NOOOO!! That's highly... improbable!).  When Han asks at the end, she just kisses him without the "bash over the head - I'm Luke's sister" dialogue.

Here is a pretty good "flashback" insertion clip:

I say that even if you don't decide to include video segments to show what Vader is thinking, you could always just use the audio aspects and keep the visuals 100% OT.

The angry look on Luke's face, the passionate fury he fights with, the scary dramatic music, the constant imploring for him to 'give in to his feelings' doesn't let you understand what's going on, but getting goofy yellow eyes will?

(and nitpit, David Prowse doesnt do that fight :) )

I would really like it if his eyes turned all 'Sith Red'. It just makes sence.

ive already mentioned this, but it would be cool for just obi, anakin and yoda to be there at first, then afterwards loads of jedi spirits to begin emerging. just would tie the PT in with the OT (regardless of the whole being one with the force stuff)

maybe they could just appear at random around endor from afar, in some extended finale scene. im not a fan of the yearbook ending, but maybe something more reflective like the jedi appearing around vaders funeral, if that were the last scene.

well I was thinking that luke went back to the group of possys(lol) and then Jinn comes next to (SEBATION SHAW) then the film ends with the 4 jedi. Does matter if luke does not know him? I think it would serve a benifical purpose, Qui Gon next to the pure little boy he left; a jedi

Hi, first post here. Adywan may have mentioned possibly doing this but in ROTJ the shuttle the Rebels use to land on the moon of Endor should definitely be different than Vader/Emperor's shuttle. I wouldn't expect technical parts and mechanics to be transported on the same type of shuttle used by the leaders of the Empire.

Now there is that larger shuttle seen in ANH that carried the Sandtroopers and Dewbacks down to Tattooine. I wonder if it would be too big. But then again if it turns out that the Battle of Endor is edited to somehow include more Rebel forces and less Ewoks then a larger shuttle would make sense. That whole battle should be grander anyway with more Imperial troopers and walkers. A entire legion of the Emperor's best troops? more like a handful

And make the Ewoks fiercer with enhanced facial expressions, though Wicket should remain cute.

And definitely more B-Wing and A-Wing action seen in the space battle. I think originally there was meant to be more B-Wing action seen in that battle anyway.

I really like that idea. It really drives home that that Luke is essentially the rebirth of the Jedi order. It's better than "Weesa free", that's for sure.

yay! someone agrees!! that honestly pleases me!

i know it falls into " we do because we can" but to an extent isnt that what a fan edit truly is? out of all changes that can be made, it would just be as a reminder that, "oh look, the jedi finally triumphed! yay!" it is far from the generic "add duel of the fates" addition (at least i hoped.:P)

As well as giving the Ewoks some facial expressions (and hopefully a few scary ones) I've always wanted to see Jabba get a bit more articulation (especially around the mouth). He speaks a complex language yet his mouth does little more than flap open and shut and stick his tongue out, which was all they could do back then but hopefully Ady could weave some of the magic we saw in his cantina redo and give the big guy a smile, a smirk and a frown or two. He's suppossedly furious at the death of his Rancor but all he does is rock back and forth like a dog with worms (sorry about that mental image folks).
