Yes, but as Adywan has stated many times, the "Expanded Universe" will not be a factor in his edits. Personally, I wouldn't care if he was in Jedi at all. Getting hit by a blind man with a stick, then flying through the air screaming like a girl is ridiculous.
Here's an idea: when Boba gets hit by the stick, rather than having him hit the side of the sail barge, lower the barge down and have him fly continuously over it (you could take the shot of him flying, clone it to keep moving while cutting out the impact part, and maybe taking a different sail barge scene to use as the background) - I would think that someone who has had this jet-pack on his back and used it as much as Boba would have a little more control over it (or eject it and use his rope gun to grab onto the barge and pull himself up).
Regardless, that way you can keep all of Boba Fett's stuff, just change the end outcome so he get's away instead of getting killed.
Another idea you could possibly use in both ESB and ROTJ: add Boba saying "Friend" after one or some of his lines, along the line of dialogue he had with Luke and Han in the SW:HS cartoon. You know, just a little something to connect it to the fact that they have a history. This would be easy because you could use the audio from the cartoon.
Hell, maybe you could take out the stick and replace it with a blaster. You could edit it so that Han hits Boba with a blaster hit, Boba turns and looks back (a second or two shot), ignites his jet-pack ON HIS OWN and leaves the scene. The SW:HS already showed that Boba was keen on escape if it looked like he could get caught or killed. That would make his character consistent as well as de-lameify him too.
