CNN went the way of Sci-fi with this. It's stupid to set up about 80 HD cameras just to fake a hologram to wow audiences on a news network. 4 cameras on either side would've gotten the effect and, been less costly. Sure the camera angles would've been limited but, after anyone finds out it's fake who the hell cares!?

Here explains that 40 cameras are used for one rig. They did it for two people. I forget where they were so, if they were in different places 80+ cameras for this gimmick were used.

All this is going to do is create more news programs to find the next flashy thing to add to draw people in. Real or, not. They might not even cover real news after a while. Just concetrating on whatever's the trendiest thing at the moment. Local news soon to become Entertainment Tonight complete with sci-fi special effects. This reminds me of that time Oprah had the pregnant "man" on her show. However, that pregnant "man" was born in a completely female body.
