I really never thought that this topic would be so polarized. I was always of the opinion that all fans would want the original if for no other reason than to be able to compare it to the SE. But there actually seems to be more that either don't want it or don't give a rat's ass. It gets a bit disgusting to see how ignorant some people can be about film history and how ignorant they can be about having both versions being made available. Hey, if they don't want it, don't buy it. It's what I'm doing with these DVDs come September.
Yeah, its not like we're saying "NO Special editions! You must only have the originals!"
Its one thing if people don't want the originals, and prefer the SEs, thats fine. They don't have to buy them. But the fact that they don't want us to have them astounds me.
