And I'll definitely do an "old picture" version of this edit. I think I'll use a mix between 4 or 5 premiere pro filters and an alpha layer done with the old cinema filter for virtual dub (link given by negative 1 on this topic.). I will not use picture flickering and the filter will be apply on all frames, because the 1/2 frames thing is cool on a 30 seconds clip (it indeed gives an old feeling), but I think it would not works great on a 2 hours lenght (your thoughts about that?)

i agree, don't 'overdo' the old film effect.... even films in bad shape usually have some good parts,

without the flicker etc..... just use a consistent look for the whole film, and it should turn out great..
