He's to blame for the special edition because it was his initiative. The special editions and the prequels happened the way they did because he wanted them that way and he saw to it that they were made that way. That's why he's to blame for them. That doesn't mean I don't also blame others for the part they played. Like Hayden Christensen for his stomach-turning performances.

Yes Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are classics and are to many people. Very much classics.

Of course the films belong to all of us. As classic works of art they belong to the human species.

As for what crime happened... mutilation and destruction of classics. Destruction of something that should have been held in trust for the human race.
