And while Jaws was a good film it did not stay close to the original novel at all. Spielberg made up the ending as it is not in the book.

1. First of all, Steven Moffat wouldn't have had anything to do with George Lucas. Tintin is being helmed by Spielberg and Peter Jackson; Lucas is not involved.

2. Just because a movie is based on a book doesn't mean that no change the movie director makes can be as good or better as the book. Peter Benchley isn't exactly a high-profile author, and to be honest, the "Jaws" book sucked. Half of it was devoted to some shitty love triangle between Hooper and Brody's wife. I'm glad they cut all that.
