Truly one of the greatest holidays ever. What are you doing this Halloween? Me and my no values Satanists are sacrificing black cats so Obama will win the election. Why will no one pander to the Immoral Minority?

I'll be working.

Bah. halloween, like the rest of the holidays, is highly over-rated.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

I've always enjoyed a good scare, so Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Since 2004, though, the highlight of the season has been going to see the next Saw movie. Being able to look forward to a new installment every year is a nice break from the two-to-three-year waits that accompany most of my favorite franchises. This goes double for my horror favorites, as most of them are lucky to see a movie every five or six years. Hard to believe it's been five years since Freddy vs. Jason. Now I have to deal with the fact that they're rebooting both franchises. That really sucks, because I like to see the progression of the story as the mythology builds up behind it (I'm the kind of person who can find depth and emotion in even the most shallow piece of cinematic trash). Seriously, all my favorites are starting over. First Texas Chainsaw Massacre back in '03, then Halloween in '07 (the single most disappointing film I've ever seen; even moreso than Matrix Revolutions), and now both Friday the 13th and Hellraiser are starting over next year, with A Nightmare on Elm Street and Child's Play in the planning stages.

I've always kind of hated Halloween. I'm more of a Thanksgiving and Christmas kind of guy.

Wouldn't it be better to sacrifice republicans? LOL ;)

Some people say skimpy Halloween costumes are a bad thing but I think they are great!

They look great but my problem is wondering why hot girls don't dress that way all the time.

Halloween's gonna suck this year because you know everybody and their mother's gonna be dressing up as the Joker.

I'm thinking of dressing up as Burgess Meredith's Penguin just as a "fuck you" to the rest of them. :P

I always wanted to dress up as a Nazi or Hitler, but I don't want my ass kicked.

I don't think people will "get it."

Unfortunately, you're probably right. I wouldn't be the "cool" Batman character.

It'd be kind of like when I dressed up as Groucho Marx in high school. The only people who knew who I was were my teachers. :\

do people still 'trick or treat' or is that more of a hollywood thing? Halloween generally goes by unnoticed here in Oz.

I KNOW, man! That's what makes me hate hypes. And, oh, how I hate it when the crowd starts something and everyone, and I mean every unimaginative person does it. That's why when "The Dark Knight" came out, I was almost not going to see it because every single idiot (people who couldn't care less about the Batman series) was screaming and yelling "OMG Batman's the best movie evarr! Teh Joker was sooo cooool!"

It makes me feel incredibly bad... I really hate hypes... so much...

Nanner, you rock.

(sorry for going a tad off-topic)

and yes, I thought of becoming a character too... but I thought of it wayy too late... see, I was going to memorize this speech, and it goes like this: "The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

and how cool it would be...

Sweet! Johnny is from the merry ol' land of Oz! Yes, I have heard trick or treating was not so big over there, and that the Munchkins pretty much like to dress up all the time, rendering Halloween just like any other day.

But yeah, here in much of the US, trick or treating is pretty big, I never thought of it as anything to do with Hollywood. Pretty much in most neighborhoods with children in them make a pretty big deal fo the event. You have ankle-biters, younglings, and even some shoulder-highs, dressed up as all sorts of crazy things, carrying around sacks, buckets, and pillowcases knocking on your doors and ringing your bells demanding sugary goodness. People decorate their lawns and houses, and some people even convert their garages and backyards into haunted tours.

In all the parts of America I have lived in, Halloween is pretty big and tricker treating is a big part of it. Many movies may depict tick or treating, but that is pretty much how it is in real life.

I still have a V mask since I'm a member of anonymous, I wish I could use that. I'm watching Rocky Horror Picture Show now it is the most essential movie to watch on Halloween. Everyone always want's to ruin Halloween for me by not watcing scary movies.

I recorded some movies on the DVR for tonight:

Freaks

The Fly

The Omen

A Nightmare On Elm Street

And

House of Usher

I almost revived my old Marty McFly costume for work today, but it was just too damned hot for a t-shirt, overshirt, jean jacket, and down vest!  I would have fried!  So I didn't really do anything for Halloween this year.

And that's my Halloween story!

There is no lingerie in space…

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
