I just finished watching the new color correction footage.  It's amazing how just adjusting the tint can affect the aura of an environment.  Good work adywan.  Was the work in this particular clip achieved by just adding a filter over the entire clip or did you have to make sure everything was balanced from shot to shot?

Side Note:  I noticed, in the scene "We've Spotted Imperial Walkers," that R2's light still doesn't really switch from one color to the next appropriately.  Really, he still has that sort of "spinning" light source that he had in ANH.  It is just brighter and is turns faster her in ESB instead of making a seamless transition like in the PT.  However, it's extremely minor ,and I was actually making a point to look at his light at the time.  Anyone who's not looking for it will probably not notice.  I'm sure you'll decide the best way to handle that.

Now dude, if THAT isn't complaining about something extremely minor that is changing "canonicity" I don't know what is.. NOT TO MENTION: have you even SEEN STAR WARS: REVISITED?!?!  Did you even notice how many NEW effect shots Adywan created?!  I don't remember the pig-face human dude's arm on the floor when Obi-wan chopped it off, much less that TIE fighter reveal with the EMPIRE music that came out 3 years AFTER ANH was first released.

The whole point of this Revisited thing is to maximize the potential of what the SEs were supposed to be about.  My whole issue with the "green lasers" is that all of the BIG stuff the Imperials had - TIES, Star Destroyers, Death Star, etc. - shot green lasers; hence consistency.  All smaller stuff like speeder bike, machine gun and hand gun blasts can remain red because ANH already established that BIG Imperial guns shoot green, SMALL Imperial guns shoot red.  So if you were to go by "cannon", one can say that Lucas used Red lasers for the AT-ATs because Green would have been harder to do FX wise, which has nothing to do with canon, which would dictate the use of the Green lasers.

Regardless, this does not have to be done by Adywan!  If someone else (like me) wants to take the time to modify his edit (while giving proper credit and not TAKING credit) or do their own from scratch, that is the great/terrible thing about having computers with Sony Vegas and other editing programs.  We can all do our own edits!

Other than that, nothing personal and nothing "mean" implied.  Just please, if anyone is going to make an arguement, please keep the soap boxes with the washer and dryer.
