I just tried to watch my DVD .vob files on VLC player and the brightness is the original one, not the darker version I see when I play it with, let's say, windows media player or some other players.

I don't know why this appends. On some players it looks "normal", on some other it looks darker.

and by the way, the quick montage made by negative 1 have the original brightness unlike the pictures he post.

I'm kind of lost with this brightness/contrast issue.

But I like both way of watching it, so for me it's no big deal, I just would like to now why there is this change from a player to another.
