I work in Media and have studied Digital and Video all my life.
This set up works for all DVDs and HD.

Yes, DVDs and HD have a great clearer picture then video, but you also lose more things with DVDs and HD, then with Video.

DVDs and HD is killing visual media just look at most DVDs or HD:
Blast out Colors,
Too Deep Blacks,
Skin tones are not natural,
and sharpness levels too high.

Look at The Raiders of the Lost Ark DVD.
If you think this DVD is how Raiders of the Lost Ark looked in The movie houses in the 1980's...you are wrong. Yes the film clean up is good and the clearer picture is good, but the color levels are bad like most films of today. One thing is the blasting yellows, reds and Too Deep Blacks level. Raiders of the Lost Ark was not made to look like this. Most older films are mess-up by DVDs' and HD's bad color levels.
