The navel type series is the Star Trek I like the best. Even though I watched TOS as a kid, I honestly have a very hard time sitting through an episode of TOS now.

Lately I have been watching DS9, I didn't see it during its first run, so I am trying to catch up by watching every episode in order. At the moment I am in the middle of season three, and I still think TNG is a far better series. The first thing that stood out to me about DS9 is how horrendous the writing and acting is. TNG sufferend from this for the first few seasons, so I have been patiently waiting for DS9's acting and writing to improve. I guess the writing has gotten a bit better, but the acting is still painful as can be. I guess Sisko continues to speak as woodenly as possible for all 7 seasons? Ouch.
