Well here's my take. I have the SE on VHS, and I know I'm going to buy the ultimate edition regardless of whether or not the OV comes out, so the only reason I would buy this one is because of the extras which are likely to be exclusive to this release. WHich is why I bought AotC despite thinking its terrible.

The only other motivation I have for buying this release is if the OV never comes out, and the ultiamte edition ends up being even worse then the SE, because if the OV doesn't come out then I'm jsut going to edit out greedo shooting first and any other changes that bug me, and it would probably be easier to do that from the lesser changed '97 edition then the uber changed 2007 version. But then I'm still holding out hope that the 2007 version will be awesome.

Either way, I still want my OV. But as it stands now, I'm not buying the sept o4 dvds, and I don't feel in anyway excited that they are coming.
