Star Wars Prequels/Original Trilogy: The Complete Scores (Released) — Page 18

Its tracked. It's the percussion track plus winds I think from when Obi-Wan chases Grevious...

It's all tracked in the deleted scenes... although that doesn't mean some of it isn't unreleased, some of it is unreleased or unused music... but all of it is tracked. Williams only scores scenes that are in the edit he gets... and most of thsoe scenes were cut before that... and rebuilt later for the DVD

Anyone have a copy of GM's ESB or ROTJ soundtracks?  Some of my favorite music is from ROTJ.  I have the anthology CD's, is that all there really is for these two?

the SE's have more material for ROTJ but they use extremely subpar master duplicates... which cause the cd to sound disgunstingly distorted

ESB is better but Risner fucked up most of the tracks of worth

Can you upload the track "Padme's Ruminations"? As well as the OT scores?

yes and an idiot to boot... he fucked up the mixes for the SE of Empire.

He only had an afternoon to do it and instead of taking it seriously, he blasted the music through the studio, invited everyone in the buliding to come listen, and just mixed it how he deemed fit.

Too narrow.

No Bass.

Horn channels flipped...

It's just utter crap. Waste of time.

GM's complaints here are VERY valid.  If any of you can't wait to get his edits, at the very least you need to find a copy of the 4-CD Anthology since it has such superior sound quality over the SEs.

I havn't heard any music composed for the game... is it worth it?...

The Mark Griskey score? Sounds pretty decent from what I've heard. I really wouldn't know but it might be worth checking out in case there's anything useful to you.

In my experience it has been worth it. Mark Griskey's score for Knights of the Old Republic II was very good IMO. the fact that he did The Force Unleashed makes me interested in the score.

Thanks for confirming this for me! I always thought ROTJ sounded markedly worse than the other ones and for this and other reasons (no compelling music until 40min in, after all the Jabba BS) don't really listen to it that often, especially not the first disc. I always thought I was crazy...

Hi,

I made my own remaster from the Anthology (and the SE's), but it needs to be a little better. Does someone know on wich tracks from the antho the stereo is flipped on ESB ?

I wish I can hear it by myself but until now I didn' t notice that point.

Nota: If someone has and could upload a rip of the original RSO 2 LP set of the EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (in APE for exemple), I would be delighted !

... And if the link for GM's remaster for it exists anymore, I'd like to give a hear.

Thanks !

Well, I have them. Would GoodMusician be alright with me if I upload the scores?

Hard to say. Psycho_Dayv offered space many times, but I don't know if he ever got an answer. Not in 'public,' anyway. Might want to PM GM and see if he'd be ok with it. (or maybe if he's not cool with putting links here, he might be ok with people PMing you for the links?)

Doesn't hurt to try. I know I've been wanting to hear his ESB and ROTJ soundtracks for a long time! :)

I don't believe its a matter of persuasion, but of patience. According to his profile, he hasn't logged in since December 8th.
