You'll need a good dual core or quad core processor to be able to watch it using your pc without serious lagging. But if your processor can handle it then hook it up via DVI and using your TV will be fine.
2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. And I'll be using a DVI-HDMI cable and a TRS Connector to TOSLINK cable. I had WG's HD WMVs at one point, but...they were WMVs and I have a Mac. So, Flip4Mac took a while to process those. But they played just fine over QuickTime. VLC played them without sound. I was asking mostly about AVCHD, because I hadn't heard of it until this thread.
I have a Blu-Ray player, but only SL DVDs. As long as there's no problems doing this over the computer (and I don't need to buy DL DVDs) then I'm happy. Can't wait to watch this.
