Clone wars on cartoon freakin' network

why of all stations, would they pick cartoon network for clone wars t.v. series? that just makes the t.v. ratings for it go down even more! the only good thing about cartoon network is adult swim! i doubt it will be on that! bottom line, stupidest station to put it on!

Maybe because it was made for Cartoon Network in the first place?  They know it's not going to be able to hold its own in prime time like The Simpsons, Family Guy or South Park.  They need to aim it towards the audience they want to reach...the ones with parents who have money to buy the toys.

problem is, it makes star wars seem like a kid film. its more mature then that! i'm not saying i won't watch it, i'm siked about it! but why cartoon network? it should be on fox!

I think the "Star Wars is more mature than that" argument was lost with all the fart jokes in Episode I. The PT was most certianly aimed at younger audiences, with a few akward exceptions like the murdering of kids and burning flesh. But this Clone Wars series is without a doubt aimed at kids, nothing about it looks mature to me. It would be an insult to the other shows on adult swim and to the people who watch adult swim for this to be on there. With the PT we could still try to pretend that they were blatant kids movies, but I am afraid you can't do that with Clone Wars, they are very tiny bopper, all the way from the animation to the jokes.

ANH was a kid film, but you didn't recognize it as such because you WERE a kid when you saw it.  It wasn't until years later that the deeper meanings and such started to reveal themselves on repeated viewings.

Genndy's Clone Wars was more in tune with the films.  This CG Clone Wars is just a cash grab, plain and simple.

Umm, no, A New Hope was NOT a kid's film. Maybe you were a kid when you saw it, and it took years for the deeper meanings to dawn on you, but that was not the case for many people who saw the films back in 1977 and after. Many people were NOT kids when they saw it, and they never would have guest it was a kids film.

Yes, Star Wars was mostly family friendly, we have both the use of the words "damn" and "hell" thrown in there, which are not kid's movie words. We have a bloody severed arm, not kid's movie stuff, we also have people getting choked to death. SW was a pretty kid friendly movie, and kids absolutely loved it, but so did adults.

I hope you are not saying the Genndy cartoon resembled the OT, there was really no resembalance. The cartoon was clearly for kids.

Not according to some of the people here that saw the Clone Wars movie.  "It's for kids, it can be stupid!"  If it's so much more mature than that, then maybe the movie should've been more mature too.

Besides, in this day and age of TiVo and other DVRs, it doesn't matter one bit what channel it's on.  People will set their DVRs to record it and then watch it whenever it shows up on their recorded programs list.  Same goes for just about any other TV show.  If you asked me what time Heroes was on, I wouldn't have a clue.  I simply watch it when it shows up in my list.

The way that's worded, I wonder if the episodes will air first on Cartoon Network and then they'll repeat on TNT at some point.

I did not think it was possible but now the official site is actually worse than tfn, and Hyperspace costs money, lol.  TFN worth a few good jokes and is free.

damn! why don't they have some more limb severing and blood. the novels make good use of that! i don't think star wars should be seen as a kids movie. i wanna see some more crap like in ROTS with yoda cutting off heads and sending his saber through the chest of a clone trooper.
