Now, I'm on everyone's side here when it comes to cutting Lucas no slack in disrespecting the original theatrical releases of the Original Star Wars. There's no excuse for that, and I believe the guy deserves every reasonable criticism aimed at him for keeping them off the shelves in an anamorphic format.

Yet when I watch The Clone Wars series trailer, I can't help notice that it looks plain awesome. I'm giving it a chance, that's how much I was moved by the trailer. We have an Anakin Skywalker MUCH closer to what I imagined before Hayden Christensen, Y-Wing predecessors, we have the light-speed starfield back, and this looks like the a mix of humor that can both appease hates & lovers of the prequels: my big grin came from when Grievous slapped the battle droid off-screen. Star Wars isn't about politics. It is about sci-fi fantasy excitement and escapism, and I'll be so bold as to say I believe this series may have captured that (we'll wait and see for SURE).

If this Clone Wars series turns out to be widely accepted among us (or just me for that matter), I'd like to propose a Thank You letter signed by its fans to Lucas & team for, you know... actually getting something RIGHT.

He's been our enemy all these years, and maybe we can open up to showing appreciation where it's due. Making your enemy your friend, so to speak, would be a better tactic than sending disapproving letters in THIS case.
