Did alittle digging and found a comic book forum where Drake Retro still posts. Evidently this topic came up.

Here is what he had to say...

Wow...

I regret the day I ever mentioned this to anyone on the internet.
It seems no matter where I go, I am found and asked about this.

NO. I don't have access to the edit. I wish I did. The one person who was going to give me a copy got pissed ( out of nowhere ) after I posted a screencap of the edit. This person started blocking my emails soon after. Ever since I have been called so many names on boards like Superherohype, Basically had my screen-names @ SHH, BOF and personal email accounts stalked by crazy fanboys. Demanding for me to show the edit or "be sorry", seriously someone actually said that.

Look, the story goes like this. I was at a party in L.A. about 2 years ago. Late in the night ( around 2am ) I went into a room where people where watching Batman Forever.
Only the strange thing was it had music from the Burton films. ( Being very familiar with Elfman's scores, I also noticed that some of the tracks were from the batman trilogy cd. Which were re-recordings) It was near the start of the film, so I asked if anyone minded if we could restart it. Everyone was cool about it, and it started over.

It basically restored the original timeline from the script (using what material was available), and added in Elfman's score. The color was altered a little, but the look of forever was still intact. Not much you can do about neon. Some of the less overblown, less campier tracks from Forevers score were left in tact.

I was told the editor ( who was at the party, but I never found out who he was ) gave out 10 copies of them. I was also told the film was edited on an professional avid system. The guy who was showing his copy ( the one I was watching )
offered to make me a copy. This was also the guy who gave me the screencap. I told him the online fans had been dying to see this and it should be shared with them. He thought it would be a good idea too.
I offered to make and print a custom dvd cover in trade for a copy of the edit.

I started posting info on various fan edit sites. Soon after my contact started acting strange, not wanting to share his copy.

I never heard from him again...

My guess is the editor found out about me posting stuff online and got pissed.
My trail has gone cold, and that's that. I'm legit, many people can vouch for that.
It's just, well I got nothing more to share...

I too hope it comes to light one day.
