First of all, I prefer to think we inspired this new release from Universal. Who knows? It worked for the Richard Donner Superman II cut!

Secondly, my cut is still up on the pirate bay, and we won't know until we see the official release whether this cut is still worthy of preservation. If, for example, they do a direct transfer of the TV cut, it will be lacking the profanities that I painstakingly preserved. Also, it will be widescreen, which I think is for the best, but it does set it apart from my cut which is open-matte. At the very least, you won't find all my gorgeous station logos in the official release ;)
