I disagree With Sean over Star Wars and Lucas. The originals are ruined because of the gout and being forever buried in favor of th extra crap editions. Star Wars legacy is tainted forever because of the prequels.
For example before the prequels were made the issue #1 Marvel comic i have was very highly valued and went way down in value because of episode 1. Fans of the oot have begun to sell off their collections and sell out their shares in George because of his betrayal.
