Besides, if they did have new bonus material, wouldn't you be pissed that they expect you to buy the same '04 SEs again in order to get them? The way they're doing it now at least makes the purchase a no-brainer. ^_~
I never bought the '04s to start with, never had any temptation to, not even with the GOUT. However, I must admit, if this new boxed set coming out came with three new bonus discs for the original trilogy, I would at this moment seriously be considering departing with 50 of my hard earned dollars for this thing.
The only good thing I see about this new set is that it will rise the number of copies of the GOUT floating around. I intend to buy the GOUT when I can pick each of them up for around five bucks at a used DVD store. As of now, I have yet to see a single used GOUT at any used DVD place in my area (droves and droves of 04 and 05 boxed sets though).
Hmm, I was at Target today and I saw a Indiana Jones boxed set with all three movies in slimline cases (yuck). I had honestly thought the Indy trilogy had only had two releases thus far, the original four disc box, and the more recent non boxed individual movies. I was kind of surprised to see this three disc box, in horribly crappy looking packaging and slimline cases of all things. LFL is really lowering their standards. The thing was still $50 buck too. By the looks of it, it ought to have been no more than $19.99.
