Hmm, well, I'll start off by saying that people should be allowed to have their opinions on this matter. I like arguing aesthetics too much for me to say that discussing various matters about Star Wars and George Lucas can't be reasoned out with logical principles. However, it's just entertainment and we shouldn't be so angry at people for wanting to express what they like or dislike.
Otherwise, I came here because I wanted the originals on DVD (particularly after being horrified by the 2004 DVDs). Also, I'm a person who is working on fiction projects of my own and can't help but think about the mistakes George Lucas made and, in particular, how I would have done many things differently.
Other than that I can't really say I care about Star Wars as much as I discuss it on this site. Star Wars is my favorite movie of all time and all three movies mean a lot to me, but I know I've been dwelling on them (and George Lucas) more than I otherwise would have (lately). I guess I've mostly grown attached to the small community here. Also, I'll definitely be waiting for the films to be remastered on Blu-ray now. Will I leave this place and stop dwelling on Star Wars as much when that happens? I don't know.
As I said in another thread, it seems as if Star Wars might not be something we'll have to fight over in the bigger context of things. Eventually everything will come out. A restoration of the original films is inevitable in some way.
