Maybe..But catwoman was probably the best thing in Batman Returns.

But yeah, I'd rather not see her in the next movie.

And if penguin is the villain of the next piece, please god make him more interesting than the version from BR.

I would have liked to have seen them go in this direction with the Jokers apperance (more specifially the top two photos). Something about straying away from the comic book style but still having him look like a goofy clown was arkward.

The thing is i always thought the Joker was some kind of mad court jester type character as seen in the modern comics and the animated series.

He is insane and laughs at his own jokes.

Did you think the big screen Joker Heath played was a little too close to the Mark Hamill Joker on tas?

I actually like Mark Hamill's better.

Though he embraced Heath in the role, which was pretty gracious.

Dark Knight's biggest failing is the fact that it is a Nolan original script and does not adapt a comic.

Batman Begins was so successful because it adapted the best batman comic ever by Frank Miller, Year one.

They had a lot of material they could have used over about 70 years worth of stuff.

They could have done the killing joke, or the long Halloween.

But then surely you'd be complaining that it was merely a big screen rip-off of 'the killing joke'? Honestly some people will look for any reason to complain. If you guys aren't happy with the film then just ignore it like we ALL do with 'Batman and Robin'.

For those that weren't satisfied, What sort of stuff were you expecting / hoping for in a follow up to 'Batman Begins'?

Uh, for those of us that haven't read that Batman comic (and didn't even know it existed), BB was so successful because it rebooted the franchise and returned it to what it should be: a dark toned movie about Batman instead of the Schumacher crap we were fed for a few years.

Judging from the reviews and box office, TDK's failing is that a few people don't like the direction it went in.

Robert Downey Jr's a downer when it comes to the dark knight

"I feel like I’m dumb because I feel like I don’t get how many things that are so smart. It’s like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I’m like, ‘That’s not my idea of what I want to see in a movie…Didn’t get it, still can’t tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I’m like, ‘I get it. This is so high brow and so fucking smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.’ You know what? Fuck DC comics. That’s all I have to say and that’s where I’m really coming from."

Finally saw it.  Not as epic as others said, but it was pretty damn good.  But what the HELL is up with Christian Bale's Batman voice?  Yeah, it needs to be different than that of his Bruce - but he sounded like he was imitating the Don or something.

Yeah, the "batvoice" was something that bugged me about Batman Begins as well. I'd really hoped they'd tone it down a little in TDK, but I think it got even worse (probably because he had longer speaking parts as Batman in this one). Sounds like he has a really serious cold or something.

TDK script leaked online and its confirmed that Dent dies from a broken neck....its not enough to ensure he wont be back for the next one but at least its clear that nolan's intention was that he didnt survive the fall.  im not sure if im disappointed or not.

And since when does any Hollywood elite's opinion matter to the comic book fans that really love the comics and want to see that in the movies?  Seriously, if he can't tell us what happened in the movie, maybe he needs a high school education.

I like Robert Downey Jr. a lot.  I loved him as Iron Man (I think he played it perfectly).  But he's just way far off on this one.

In the last week I just seen Tropic Thunder, The Clone Wars, and TDK. I enjoyed all 3 and even wanted to name my dog The Joker. Dent's makeup as Two-Face was just stunning.

That was..... make-up?  I really thought they just put CG on half of his body.  That's absolutely amazing!

It was make-up with CG alterations on the eye and the cheek.

There most certainly is CG in the movie, but the point of the "no CG" statements was that if this was made by any other director, 75% of the scenes that were done live would have been CG just to make it easier.  The flipping-over of the truck was 100% real, for example.  The dive and flight into the building in Hong Kong, while that was originally supposed to be real, ended up having to be done in CG because of the difficulties in shooting in Hong Kong.

I saw the cartoon Gotham Knight. I didn't think I'd like it at all, but I enjoyed it. It was FAR from perfect. And the changing animations, while interesting and artsy, kind of annoyed me. I really liked the animation of the Scarcrow segment. At first it was annoying because batman's nose was way too long, then the animation style really grew on me. I liked the overly violent anime style of it. I'd love to see a full length Batman cartoon with a bit more depth to it with that type of animation consistent throughout. Maybe even a new Batman animated series targeted for adults.

I'm seeing this for the 3rd time since I first saw it the theater. I really really like it. Shit, as a kid I even loved Forever and Batman and Robin anyone else like it as a kid too? And the Joker is just so cool.

I really didn't see that at 7.

I'll admit I loved "Batman & Robin," but I was 8 at the time they came out.  By the time I was 10, I'd realized how bad it was (that was the age when I really began to appreciate good films versus bad films - before than a movie was a movie unless it was scary to me).

Anyway, I'm going to see TDK again at the Navy Pier IMAX in Chicago with two friends who somehow have managed NOT to see it at all yet.  I'm excited for them.

I liked Batman Forever because I like Jim Carey, even if I don't think he played the Riddler that well.

I don't even need to see Batman and Robin to know how bad it is.  A friend of mine once said "If you're watching TV and it comes on, turn it off, it's that bad."
