Trailers with deleted scenes?

So... who-all can name trailers which have deleted scenes in them?

There seem to be a lot of trailers floating around. Apparently, the studios don't try to keep track of them as a rule. Of course they're still a limited resource. Clip dealers cut up "flat" trailers. Collectors gather up "scope" and flat trailers, for their hoards...

A lot of trailers do end up on dvd's. (And some trailer versions don't). But they're typically letterboxed, and often a less-than-stellar transfer (at least on SD sets). If it were possible to scan a trailer (and there are many bumps on that poorly-blazed trail), a person could end up with much higher quality than anything on an SD dvd.

To start it off. A Generations trailer (on the special edition set) has a scene-lett of Kirk saying, to Harriman "Let's cheat death together."

Has anyone heard of a "longer trailer" for Star Trek VI?

One day I found... 10 years had got behind me. Next day was worse.

There are A LOT of trailers with deleted scenes and/or alternate shots in  them.

Probably the most infamous is The Magnificent Ambersons.

Others I can think of off the top of my head are: Phantom of the Paradise, Harold and Maude, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and of course The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Shots being the operative word.  Rarely is the trailer content extensive enough to restore whole scenes.  I'd imagine the best you could do would be alternate dialogue takes - all the Batman trailers come to mind...Burton, Schumacher and Nolan.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
