I've created my own DVD editions of "Manhunter" and "The Fury" from my laserdiscs. Both are non-anamorphic NTSC but they turned out great. The "Manhunter" DVD has animated menus with Red Dragon characters to select the menu items, chapter menus. The "The Fury" DVD has the same thing but it also has a letterbox function built into a subtitle track so that you can "hard matte" the film at any time to a 1.85:1 aspect ratio and see unmistakably that the laserdisc was a true full-frame open matte transfer. I also created a special hidden feature (select The Fury logo) that links to a short clip of all of the Jim Belushi, Darryl Hannah, and Laura Innes scenes. Let me know if you're interested in a copy of any of them--I also made a killer "Phantom Edit"-type version of "The Phantom Menace" that is anamorphic and features an alternate open and a version of the film with 22 minutes removed for a less annoying and better viewing experience.

I also made a really cool DVD of "Hearts of Darkness" from the laserdisc and it is a great companion to the "Complete Dossier" version of "Apocalypse Now".

Email me at: if you're interested.
