See that is what is so fucked up about the special editions.

They fixed some matte lines and left other ones still in, removed and censored some violent scenes and left others in.

It is like they either did not notice, were lazy, or this was Lucas half baked attempt at his perfect "vision".

 

Supposedly PG-13 was created because of Temple Of Doom though till this day the movie remains PG.

And Lucas coerced the ratings censors to give Revenge of the Sith a PG-13 though it clearly deserved an R rating for the mustafar scenes, where anakin is dissmembered and burns up in the lava, also the beheading of dooku at the beginning of the movie and anakins murder of children though not shown.

 

Luke Getting his hand cut off in Empire was violent enough in 1980 to get it banned in some countries.
