The review sound cool, but I can't send you a PM because it's of by default so you have to turn it on in your profile.

I'm seeding Dr. No and From Russia With Love but there only seems to be a Swedish guy/girl leeching. According to utorrent the torrent still works but it seems the tracker is down.

Hyde: Fezzy, man, it's Star Wars.

Hi, all!

I'm new here and was wondering if any of these are still available. I can either download them or send someone blank DVDs.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanx!

A bit of interesing info- there seems to be a bit of missing footage (a few frames) in all of the DVD versions of Goldfinger. The scene where Odd Job is turning the corner and misses the turn, the car obviously jumps ahead due to the misssing frames. Apparently the missing frames are on the Criterion LD, but not on any other LD or DVD.

WOW!

I never knew about this! Thanks for posting that info...

That is very important to know, and makes it so much more the reason that the Criterion versions be presented in full Audio and video formats on my Banned Bond set. We all know it's important in the rules not to take away from the official versions copyright, but if the guys at MGM Video don't want to include the complete films, then it's up to us fans to step in and preserve them. But F.Y.I., I still insist on you all owing each of official DVDs of (Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and Goldfinger) before adding these Band Bond versions to your 007 collection.

In other news, it looks like the new 007 actor Daniel Craig has now signed on for 4 More James Bond Films!

You're welcome. There was some discussion about this on the home theater forum the other day. Someone noticed the jump cut on the DVD, and checked the Criterion LD to see if the jump cut was there as well- it wasn't. Apparently, the frames that ended up being cut appeared to have some damage to them, so instead of replacing them, MGM just cut them out (!) and didn't even bother to give Lowry new elements when the 4k scans were being done. Insane.

Just wanted to check in on the status of the Thunderball project. Still really looking forward to it.

Also, I found mention of a "A Life of Q" television documentary on Desmond Llewelyn. There was a torrent (long-since dead) which was a VHS-Rip. It seems like this was only on TV and/or VHS. Apparently it aired around the time of his death. Does anyone have this and/or know if its available on DVD at all commercially?

Is anybody here able to seed the Dr. No and From Russia With Love Criterion torrents on MySpleen? I would be forever grateful.

Also, if anyone would be willing to hook me up with any/ all of these (as I don't have MySpleen), I would gladly send them a SASE and blank DVDs, as well as some extra blank DVDs for kicks.

Please let me know!

That's good advice, Arnie.d

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Just want a verification about the commentaries, how different are they on the Criterion Edition and SE? Were the 'unsuitable' spots just replaced or were they completely new commentaries on the SE?

They are a complete re-do on the SE.

I've been looking for these commentaries forever!  I used to have VHS dubs of them somewhere but my search for these has come up empty.

I would be willing to provide postage or pay it forward to someone else, help seed....anything to get ahold of these!  Thanks!

I got hooked up with Myspleen but unfortunately none of these have any seeders.

My offer still stands to reimburse for postage, offer blanks in exchange, etc.

Thanks!

Just stumbled on a website called "listentoamovie" which allows people at work to listen to movies on their computer, and scrolling through the soundtracks, I found the Criterion versions of Goldfinger and From Russia commentaries.

Hope someone finds this helpful.
