About the 1997 subwoofer channel: That's an interesting point you bring up about the authenticity of using the lfe from the 1997 mix. If I understand correctly (please correct me if I'm wrong), Star Wars originally used a 'baby-boom' sub-woofer effect for the six track (simply amplifying low frequencies in that channel), so I don't know how I feel about nixing the 1997 lfe for the cheap 1977 lfe effect for the sake of authenticity. Luckily it'll be some time before I get access to the 97 mix, so I'll have time to think about it I suppose.
