As far as that point, there is an element or two in 'Jedi' that I know would have worked for Luke accompanying a Transport, along with another X-Wing, but to be honest, I wouldn't be so hard on him - After listening more closely to the dialogue, it seems that the Rebel Transport that took off before he got a chance to get into his X-wing, was the LAST one that needed to leave. Hey, the pilots of it didn't wait for Luke at the end of the day, and you can see that there were at least 2 X-Wings to escort it away already. I reckon he'd done his bit at the end of the day, by bringing down that AT-AT single-handledly! Hope that helps a little.

Yes, you can see the 'starfield' through that shot. I actually noticed one involving the Falcon, that Adywan can perhaps sort eventually. But that, and a couple of other things, are for another day. I need to go for a long lie in a dark room after all the problems of our recent efforts.... Worked out fine in the end though. :)
