I like forums with strong political discussions. Even though my willingness to engage in them is seemingly random, I'll still enjoy reading them most of the time. If people don't want to read this stuff then they don't really have to.

I find the way you started this thread to be offensive, Janskreet. You think that you're entitled to have your personal viewpoint fought for wherever you go? Sometimes you have to fight for stuff yourself. The range of political types on this board is large (among party types I'd say 50/50 Republican-ish/Democrat-ish), but, just as studies have shown, there's only a degree that the Democrat-ish side of the U.S. population tends to care about looking at issues in detail or arguing them well (or with persistence for that matter). Don’t blame “right-wingers” for that problem.

To finish, do you think you own terms like communist or socialist? From everything I can tell, you are clearly a socialist, Janskreet; you clearly fight for what I understand to be socialist values. So, how is that term not legitimate?
