The quote by Lucas was:

“I am very concerned about our national heritage, and I am very concerned that the films that I watched when I was young and the films that I watched throughout my life are preserved, so that my children can see them,”

It should be revised like this to refer to what he actually stands for in reference to the original star wars trilogy.

“I am very deliberate in rewriting our national heritage, and I am very adamant that the films that you watched when you were young and the films that you watched throughout your life are destroyed, so that your children can never see them".

Looks like he is even more gone that i thought. link here: http://www.obsessedwithfilm.com/movie-news/george-lucas-on-indiana-jones-v.php

Do you know where Lucas was at the time when he made that statement?
