Well, the fires destroyed the vaults at Universal in Hollywood. The origianlly reported that they were masters, then the PR guy said it was just copies... but I know people who work for the company and they told me that it was really the masters, but they said it was the copies to keep their stock from tumbling. They literally lost everything. All they have are copies of the films now... dating all the way back to I Love Lucy up to modern films like Fast and the Furious...
