but don't place the blame entirely on

one person...............................sure lucas is a control freak,

but there were a lot more people involved, and i don't see them getting castigated over it.

Maybe that's because if they even tried to say no, Lucas pretty much overruled them.  He had all the money and all the control.  If you want to continue working on Star Wars, and who wouldn't at the time, you did what he said whether you thought it was a good idea or not.  Even McCallum tried to talk Lucas out of Jar Jar and that went nowhere.  He was the Producer.  Anyone else didn't stand a chance, so they all became "Yes Men".  Witness the contrast with the OT, where people had no problem telling Lucas no and that something wasn't going to work and how much better it turned out.

Lucas is a control freak that doesn't take no for an answer anymore.

i must humbly disagree,

i don't care who you work under, if you want to buckle under, fine, ITS STILL YOUR NAME IN THE CREDITS, SOME PEOPLE ARE PROUD OF WHAT THEY WORKED
on in the PT..........................................

besides, if you looked hard, i'm sure you can find some PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T WANT TO WORK ON THE FILMS, what about them?????????

and your opinion about the OT being better? ok, if you think so...........................for me : star wars - excellent , empire strikes back - average, jedi - ok,

and for the prequel trilogy - phantom menace - ok, attack of the clones - average, and revenge of the sith - very very good.........................

so what difference was there, what caused it????????????????????  LUCAS WAS INVOLVED IN ALL OF THEM...

i can't see how you can possibly think 1 person is responsible for everything, its like saying Bill Gates is responsible for everything Microsoft does,

or Steven Jobs is responsible for everything Apple does..........................................no, if you're going to blame people, BLAME ALL OF THEM...

it really doesn't make sense to point a finger at one person..

here's some of the people involved in 'the phantom menace' to start complaining about:
