With all this talk about the remastered Star Wars, I haven't seen anything about the opinions about new CG shots for E.T. and all the new CG shots for the original Star Trek and some shots for the first Star Trek movie.

E.T. was well done, althought I could tell which shots had and CG E.T. head and which kept the original. At least the original was availiable with the SE for a while.

I never saw the first Star Trek movie until the SE came on DVD so I can't comment on it. The SE of the original series was pretty good. Some shots were less than stellar, but the original Star Trek was never ILM material (pun intended).

What are your thoughts about the E.T. Special Edition and the Star Trek Special Edition (both series and 1st movie)?
