Wouldn't it be awesome if the Blu-Ray of Star Wars was like this...?

a couple of things,

ridley scott has a totally different attitude than george lucas..

also, (except for the final, and workprint versions).....all these versions have been available before,

so its not that great........i have them on laserdisc....and also they've been on dvd...[and yes i bought

this new 5 disc collection, and also on HD DVD]....

there are people that think the 'new' final cut is basically pulling a 'lucas' by adding things aren't

needed back into the original bladerunner.......so whats you're point?

all the OOT versions are still out there on laserdisc, and the new versions are on dvd......

and you think they should be re-released again?

Well i for one think they should be released again but only on one condition. They release all versions on blu-ray like they have with close encounters & Blade Runner set (unless you're like me and live in the UK and all we got was the lousy Blade Runner "final cut" edition, no box set.) We have HD LCD & Plasma TVs now. no longer are we watching movies on crappy old crt20"+ TV's. Laserdiscs look shit on a big screen and the GOUT being non anamorphic 4:3 is a joke. Having the 2004 set as the only available quality (if you can call it that) version is a pure insult to Star Wars fans. If others can do it then why can't GL with the biggest movie saga of all time?

I wonder, negative1, if you would be so against Star Wars being released in Hi-Def in all versions if HD-DVD had won the format war? I think not.
