Ady, are you going to remove all shots of Vader going to his stardestroyer or just the ones in the Hangar. I really don't think the shot of the shuttle going to the Executor really breaks up the pace at all but the ROTJ outtakes are really unnecesary.

This was Georges cameo apperance in Jedi, but got canned back when ILM didnt want to include fake arsed looking shots in a film (unlike when they put Jabba into Star Wars in the SE's, or Yoda in the phantom menarse) ;-P

Is from the Star Wars CCG. It's most likely not real, the card game used a lot of doctored images for cards, especially if there wasn't a good shot of it in the movies.

Were there different versions made for the CCG? This CCG image is different from the picture above - is  this particular CCG image just an actual movie still?

I watched ESB last night and I have a few suggestions for the edit. Not sure if any or all of these have been mentioned yet (87 pages is a lot!), but I didn't see them in the suggestion terminal, so my apologies if I'm being redundant.

1. Just before Vader's hyperbaric chamber, there's an establishing shot of the Executor in which the engines' flare looks really bad. Particularly the flare from the left three. They extend too far up.

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/ExecutorEngines.jpg

2. ESB holds the distinction of having the worst line of dialogue in the entire trilogy. "Two fighters against a Star Destroyer?" asked by a random rebel troop while Leiah is briefing them all prior to the battle. It's not the line that stinks, it's the delivery. Could this please be re-dubbed? It's almost worse than Hayden's acting. There's probably not an alternate audio source to draw from using the original actor's "acting," but since he's just a random unnamed soldier would it not be possible to have someone re-record his dialogue in sync with the video and just dub it in?

3. During the snow battle, Wedge is referred to as both "Rogue 3" and "Rogue 2" by Luke. We know he should be Rogue 2 as per his earlier dialogue while searching for Captain Solo and Commander Skywalker. Battle dialogue is as follows:

Luke: "Rogue 3."

Wedge: "Copy, Rogue Leader."

L: "Wedge, I've lost my gunner. You'll have to take the shot. I'll cover for you. Set your harpoon, follow me on the next pass."

Then, just a few seconds later...

W: "Coming around, Rogue Leader."

L: "Steady, Rogue 2."

W: "Activate Harpoon! Good shot, Janson!"

EDIT: Scratch that; apparently he is addressing two different people. I stand corrected.

4. The Millennium Falcon's engines tend to be white throughout the movie. Should be re-coloured to blue.

5. I know R2's funky sight-dome has been demonstrated, but I noticed upon further examination that it actually fluctuates quite a bit. First, we have the bizarre shot wherein his sight-dome is too small and the surrounding gap has been filled in with blue.

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/R2a.jpg

A couple seconds later, some of his blue panels so dark they're are almost black. The box surrounding his sight-dome is completely black as far as I can tell, which ought not so to be.

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/R2d.jpg

Then, the next shot we see of him, all is back to normal, for the most part. Some of the panels still don't fit R2's chassis hand in glove, but at least it looks better than the previous two shots.

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/R2e.jpg

There ya go. Hope none of that was too redundant and that it helps somewhat. :)

This card:

Is from the wizards of the coast Star Wars game. I'm talking about the original decipher game, it was a location card, but I cannot find a picture of the card itself. And i'm too lazy to dig it out from under my bed.

Lol, ok. I don't have a copy of ESB here to see what it really looks like. One of these days I shall buy GOUT DVDs.

Sorry to have to school you Akwat Kbrana..... but Rouge 2 is Zev played by Christopher Malcom and Rouge 3 is Wedge played by Denis Lawson. Zev finds Han and Luke. Wedge doesn't show up until the battle (unless he's somewhere in the crowd of Leia's briefing).  Zev is killed while setting up for the harpoon run.  This would also help with the fact that Wedge turns up in ROTJ.  Maybe that will help alleviate your confusion.  Some of us old timers know this shit too well.  Can anybody else quote all 3 movies verbatum including alien language and droid beeps and noises and every other sound made?  Its sort of sick how well I and I'm sure some of you know these movies.  But I digress....

There's a lot of confusion on which one John Ratsenburger is too but I don't want to get into that argument because I can't prove which is which even though I know one is John and the other isn't. I've had virtual fights about that before and lost since I can't prove it.

Here's Zev (Rouge 2)

Here's Wedge (Rouge 3)

He's the one who goes up to Leia and says "the shield doors must be closed", right?

Ah, my bad. Bloody orange goggles make it very difficult to differentiate between pilots. I'd been under the impression that Wedge found Han & Luke ever since I first saw ESB in the '80s. How embarassing.

Dialogue's confusing, too. Luke switches between addressing "Rogue 2" and "Rogue 3" between sentences, but he appears to be interacting with the same snowspeeder. Oh, well; just ignore my third suggestion above, then.

That's the argument you see. Many will say that is him. I KNOW it is not but I'll get into another argument that I don't want to get into. The one who says to Han "Sir, Commander Skywalker hasn't checked in......... We're having trouble adapting them to the cold." THAT is John. So many will argue the point that its like hitting my head against a wall because I can't prove it but I KNOW it, so its a moot point.

You decide for yourself.....

Then who the hell is this??????

They're not the same guy (at least I don't think so....god I'm not sure of anything anymore)

Maybe he played both parts, and just spoke in a different voice?

Aside from the dimpled chin, the bottom guy does look like him.

The guy on the bottom ISN'T Ratzenberger - John's the guy in the top photos who tell's Leia the shield doors must be closed. He's also the same guy in that behind the scenes photo with the X-Wing and pilot BECAUSE he's ALSO the guy who says, "OK, Everybody to your stations! LET'S GO!" And yes, he's also that guy in the close-up head shot posted. He has the mustache. The other guy doesn't, hence the other guy isn't Ratzenberger.

Oh and Ady - While we're on famous ESB debates - Will you be coloring Han's winter coat BLUE or BROWN? Yes, there's a debate as to what color it was...Which is why Hasbro made two different versions of the same figure a few years ago...

Cliff was in SW?! Ever since the prequels came out, I drifted away from following Star Wars discussions, stopped getting the Insider, and just continued to appreciate the OT in a more casual fashion than before.

And why is there such debate about Han's coat?

Did any debate arise while Adywan was doing ANHR over whether Snaggletooth should be tall or short, red or blue? lol, If so, I'm sorry I missed it. I'm being facetious, since it was just Kenner's error...

Yeah mate, I answered those questions myself in the post above. The other guy DOES have a light colored mustache and he actually SOUNDS like John. When Derlin says, "Okay, everybody to your stations...Let's go!" SOUNDS like John too. BUT when he says "Your highness, there's nothing more we can do tonight. The shield doors must be closed" seems like it must have been dubbed. That doesn't sound like John at all.

I corrected myself so I don't need correcting again thanks.

I don't recall whether or not it's been brought up in this thread, but I didn't see it in the suggestion terminal...

In the 2004 release, they changed Slave I's engine sound the match AOTC. Problem is, it sounds remarkably stupid, especially compared with the original jet sound. Could the original effect be restored, please?

Here's the scene where you can see Anthony Daniels chin through the gap in the C-3PO neck/chin area. This should be blacked out.

Adywan, this is a little thing, but I happen to agree with Octorox on this -  Unless you are planning to to use the 'Executor' element where we see Vader's Shuttle approaching it (perhaps in your hinted-at 'restructured beginning' of your future 'JEDI' edit?), then I hope you will keep this particular shot.  Although I'm not fussed if you choose to remove the preceeding 'closeup' of the Shuttle coming towards us, I really like the extra establishing shot of Vader heading towards his Superstardestroyer.  I agree that although the later shots of the Shuttle entering the bay, and Vader walking down the ramp should be removed, as they really slow down the pacing of the original chase...the brief 'Executor' shot does not, as it comes before the chase really gets going.  Just my own thoughts on that.

Perhaps the Slave I engines were 'upgraded' by Boba Fett at some point over the years, just as Han is constantly tinkering with his Falcon in some way.  Either that or the engines are so old by the time of the Original Trilogy, that they are in need of some attention, and sound rough as a consequence.  The thing that really bugged me about the Prequel Slave 1 was the BLUE paint-job instead of the RED look which I preferred....

You'll be glad to know that some of your points are indeed being addressed.  I like the idea of that 'Executor' engine 'glow' NOT appearing on the top surface also!

I liked the continuity of the new Slave I sound, but I wouldn't miss it terribly if Adywan reverted it. If he's aiming to keep/improve continuity between PT and OT (I know he's planning to alter Jango's helmeted voice to sound like Boba, and I like the idea the Reborn guys were entertaining of conflating Jango and Boba into one character), keeping the 2004 engine sound is a harmless way to do that.

The main power generators pic is from this card:

http://www.swccgpc.com/cards/hoth/ls/hothmainpowergenerators.gif

I have the card and can scan it in as a PNG image in whatever resolution you would need...ie...600, 1200, 2400....

By the way, the card game is still being played and I am involved in the committee. I can also ask if they have the original image.
