Thanks with all the help in finding the pics guys. Hopefully some great shots of the original models will surface somewhere. If not then i may have a solution. I have had a thought (thanks to darth solo for sending me a pic that inspired me). If i can't get any suitable pics of the generator or the bespin buildings then i could probably build my own models to use. This way i will have as many angles to work with as possible. It will slow work on ESB:R down a bit while i build them, but it could be a great alternative which would allow me a lot of freedom.
I'm also back to where i was before i installed the quad core. All the shots are now in 720p, so back to work on the rest of it now.
God, i won something, then inspired someone, all in the same day!
I was starting my revised cover set yesterday, then i hit a mental block. Now im inspired to work at them again. Win win situation.
Good luck if you attempt the build (i searched a load of model builers sites last night after seeing your request, but no one has done a proper model of the generator unfortunatly). It did cross my mind about rendering a CGI model but it would be going down the SE approach to re-working the films.
Its not as simple as searching through google images with different phrases to find what Adys looking for.
Linky to the image i sent Ady http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/6470/dsc03126ry2.jpg -its poor, i know.
Reference some linkys to model builder sites i looked through:
http://www.phoxim.de/modellbau_science_fiction.html
http://www.starshipmodeler.com/gallery/gallery.cfm
http://www.amazingstarships.com/
http://www.starwarsmodels.com/
and obviously:
I could ask on some model builder forums if this has been done (to a better standard than the picture i posted above), but it seems model builders prefer to build ships or prop replicas.
Also this may have some tips for perhaps building replicas http://www.ffurg.com/
Jonny Ringo, i imagine the HD source will be easy enough to down convert to DVD9 with a slight drop in quality to cater for the masses when it comes to distribution. Or as Adywan has done split the HD source between two DVD9s to retain the quality.
