Same here... Have permission, I do not. However, I used my noggin and got it anyway. Here's the pic from your first link.... I just noticed that the one on the far left isn't symetrical with the other 3.

I do have to say that the lack of vision in this thread non-withstanding, I still think the PT is at least, for the most part... rather enjoyable.

You have to realize it's not the OT... its not really a store about a single character... The story REALLY is about Padme... and that's why people get confused on why things are important and why things needed to be there... they had to be there for that purpose... Also becuase Lucas loves to show a context... to compare one thing to another...

Like how many people HATE Temple of DOom...I LOVE temple of DOom... brilliant scoring... great film...

But people hate it because it's not" Raiders."  Well...its not ... it's Temple of Doom! lol... Hes dealing with a very evil and horrible subject but in a light way...but at the same time, SHOWING the evil... it creates a strong dichotomy and in a way, heightens the objectivity of how evil the clan was...

Also, yes, the prequels seem to be kinda willy nilly... but it makes sense... If it was all in a linear direction, don't you think the characters would ahve been like "This is not good. Don't you see whats happening!" Of course WE can see it... but if they saw it coming, then we'd hate the films more... we'd all be editing them to dumb them down so that Obi-Wan didn't seem to be such an idiot for not seeing what was coming... or for Padme being blind and trusting... or for Anakin for being so obviiously used...

I'lll reserve my comments for further talks... but you all have inspired me to look at possibly editing the prequels... I already did some of Episode III... and maybe with a talented artists help, I could do a nice release too...

That's funny.  I decided to try my hand at finding Shield Generator pictures, so I looked up "hoth shield generator shooting model" (without the quotes).  The 21st result is very familiar...

It was my avatar!  Apparently I've mentioned Hoth too many times on here...

I have several years worth of Star Wars Insider magazine. Might find something in them, but I'm not holding my breath. I just had a look at a couple of "Technical Manuals" and they yielded nothing. No help in "The Art of ESB" either.

Sorry, my computer went all like my ex..... you know, psycho, crazy and keeps repeating itself.

At first, I thought "oh, just a double post by mistake." Then I saw that they were seven minutes apart! Haha.

Thanks with all the help in finding the pics guys. Hopefully some great shots of the original models will surface somewhere. If not then i may have a solution. I have had a thought (thanks to darth solo for sending me a pic that inspired me). If i can't get any suitable pics of the generator or the bespin buildings then i could probably build my own models to use. This way i will have as many angles to work with as possible. It will slow work on ESB:R down a bit while i build them, but it could be a great alternative which would allow me a lot of freedom.

I'm also back to where i was before i installed the quad core. All the shots are now in 720p, so back to work on the rest of it now.

You mean CG models or real physical models?  If you want physical models, I know plenty of people who would be happy to whip something up for you so that you don't have to spend your own time and effort on it.

This isn't exactly what you asked for but maybe it can come in handy. Its the only clean matte of Bespin I could find.

P.S. I appreciate that people are using the term CG rather than CGI all the time. I find people say it without thinking of what it stands for, and thus many times their statements are redundant. Heh.

A little OT:

With all the talk of Magnoliafan's Balance of the Force, Clone War, and Phantom Re-Edit 1.2, I went searching my collection for these edits as I thought I surely had them.  Apparently, I don't.  They also appear to be gone from the newsgroups as well as torrents.  They still pull up on a seach at myspleen but with no seeders.  If anyone would be willing to help me get  copies of these three edits, please pm me.  However, if they are painfully outdated and not worth my time watching them, I'd love a heads up, too! :)

Back to the topic at hand:

I'm amazed that you've caught up to where you left off pre-quad.  I tip my hat to you, sir.  Would you be willing to share the ideas you've got cooking for the generator?
