Just to clarify, Here's a pic of Ady's emperor again
Ady, maybe I missed your explination but is that the same Emperor from the 2004 DVD's in your hologram?

look up heh
Is it not sad that in this time, we are more surprised by acts of love than acts of hate?

Unless I'm much mistaken, the hood and eyes are grabbed from ROTJ and the mouth from 2004 DVD. Why is this so hard to understand people??? I'm still on board though with GM's edit of this scene. Maybe it will make it on the special features somehow.

WOW - That ROTS/2004 SE hood is OUT of CONTROL!
Yup, the same one. Only the hood is different. It will make Palpy look more like this:

I mean really.... aren't these people supposed to be professionals? When you put these images side by side like this it just seems pathetic. How hard is it to have it at least look somewhat decent???? If I were to produce my own special effects heavy movie, I'd go to WETA. Thoses guys care a ton about detail.

He IS thirty years younger...

Yeah well, that's an argument I don't buy. That's the same argument that got us this....
instead of this.....
I guess those 30 years were rough on Yoda. After all, I'm sure 30 years makes a HUGE difference when you're at the end of a 900 year lifespan. Same goes for the twenty years on Palpatine. After his unfortunate incident with Windu, it left him grey and plastic looking. Good thing after 20 years he looks less like plastic and got a tad bit of fleshtones, even if they were very pale tones at least they looked human. And its a good thing that radioactive glow of his pupils died down a little. Yep, nothing like 20 years to make such a huge difference on scar tissue. Oh, and while we're at it, its a good thing that Chewbacca looks so completely different at 180 years old than what he does at 200 because that would totally screw up the consistency of the original 3 films. Its a good thing they care about the details because otherwise some dude would have to come around in a few years and fix all those "not glaringly obvious" things that they didn't screw up. Yep. Good thing.

Man ya say one thing and everyone gets there panties in a knot (well at least a few who take an internet forum way too seriously), bunch of thin skinned people around here.
Anyhow, thats amazing work Ady on the Emperor hologram I didnt realize you incorporated the Emperors hood from ROTJ into the ESB hologram, impressive most impressive hahaha.

Just watched the new audio test, and I thought it sounded 100% perfect! With your new hologram and that sound mix, this scene will be everything I wanted it to be in the 04 SE.
First off, I wanted to reply here since the fanedit page didn't take my comment (some web error). I just watched the "Revisited" dvd yesterday and all I can say to Adywan is thank you from the bottom of my heart. You've done something that I thought no one else could do in my lifetime... make me CARE about seeing Star Wars movies again. You took it from the hands of the insane maniac GL and made it your own and I appreciate that more than you can know. After the prequels and 2004 DVD set I pretty much abandoned all hopes of an enjoyable cohesive SW saga but you've given this fan hope. It began with ANH and I have no doubt that ESB and ROTJ will be once again beyond watchable. ESB has the least problems but I admit, I AM starting to see the light when it comes to your color correcting process for all the films. I am absolutely in heaven knowing you put in the REAL Emperor in the hologram scene. My real dreams are for a Lapti nek sy snootles (I know... I'm weird) dance number BACK in Rotj as well as the original yub yub (once again..... memoriessss).
Like everyone else before me (77 pages of threads haha) I can go on for hours at how amazed I am but all I can say is thank you, you've given star wars truly BACK to the fans the way it was meant to be seen, not the insaneovision GL versions. I almost feel a bit embarrased FOR GL as you're doing what he couldn't and WONT do ever for these movies. I'm not here to bash GL though as they still ARE his movies but I AM here to say thank you , thank you, and........ thank you. Keep the blu ray versions GL (we know it'll be 10 years waitin for em anyway), I'll be anticipating Adywan's completion of the saga throughout the next few years. When IS Empire coming by the way?? hahahh
Ady, your latest edit of the hologram audio is awesome! I can't wait to see it with your Emperor hologram in place.
GM, I like what you're doing the the scene as well, I just think the "Hoooooowwwwww is that possible?" line doesn't work in any context, and really just isn't needed.
Oh, and Ady, any chance of working this scene into the film:

The TPM Yoda puppet has been replaced by a CG one like in AOTC and ROTS, it just has not been released to the public on DVD yet, but there is a brief snippet of it on the ROTS DVD so that argument is a moot point now. But if you were stuck in a swamp for several years, some different you would look! Plus I don't think Palpatine looks so different in those two comparison pics you posted. You also have to remember Ian aged over 20 years since the make up was last applied by a different make up artist, and in ROTS he is seen unhooded and in many differing lighting enviroments as opposed to being stuck pretty much in the throne room in ROTJ. Whatever differences there were in the Emperor's face from ROTS to ESB/ROTJ could easily have come in the 20 some years between the movies.
after just watching the emperor in ROTS and ROTJ, the whole coloring in the films is completely different. the emperors throne room in ROTJ is basically just blue/grey, so his desaturated colouring fits in perfectly, but if the same colouring was in the very technicolour coruscant i dont think it would work, i mean just the background alone would drown out the ROTJ face should it have been the same. perhaps the solution would involve all the emperor scenes in ROTS becoming far less coloured?
though the colouring is just the tip of the iceberg, i wish the yoda/sidious fight was more like the voldemort/dumbledore fight in harry potter and the order of the phoinex film. I would have liked to see them fighting with just the raw force in really imaginative ways without too much physical exertion on a flat ground.
we really should have PT revisited thread so these ramblings dont clog up EPV
sorry for the quotage mess, i dont know how to get rid of it!:P
The Emperors eye's in ROTS seem to have more going on behind them, maybe to much is going on but personally I would like to see that carried on throughout the trilogy includeing ESB and RTOTJ. His eyes in ROTS bring a little more of a presence to the character. When you see those eyes it makes you say "damn" he's evil. So thats a change I would love to see ADYWAN and friends what do you think ? I am refering to his eyes in the above picture, right after his transformation.
Ady, I just watched the "Old with the New" clip you posted, and I have to say that the audio is really shaping up. I think that I wouldn't even notice the "young Skywalker" instead of "Luke Skywalker", and the two "yes"s are almost perfect!
In other news, Imperial Fighter and I are almost done with our mock-up/storyboard ideas. Well, his ideas, I just put them together. He's not able to get me very many shots to do at a time because he's busy moving, but the ones he does get to me are shaping up very nicely. I think all will be pleased at the outcome, and I hope that even if you don't use exactly what he's come up with that it at least sparks some ideas for you. They should be ready to post sometime this week.

What Mock-up DO5 (Doubleofive)
The person your searching for simply does not exist
Very cool sync job on the old Emp footage with the new dialogue!
Lucas' dialogue change is much more palatable without the crazy ROTS/2004 hood and makeup which nohandluke mentioned.
So did someone say Ian says "Luke" on that John Williams special or something?

Yeh, he said Luke a few times on the Musical Journey DVD but non could be used for the Emperor scene
