One of these best stand-up comedians. I grew up on his HBO specials, as he was at the top of his game in the 70's/80's. I still love his bit on 'not in my backyard.' How rich liberal white people claim to be the most accepting towards all the races, except if you tell them a minority is moving in their neighborhood and Carlin would say with that goofy face, "Fuck that, not in my backyard!"

With some people it seems weirder when they die more than others. Hmm.

Well, he was a very funny guy. I didn't know he had heart problems. And, even though his jokes may suffer as a result, I hope he's in a better place.

They're showing the 1st episode of SNL tonite, (hosted by Carlin, of course). It's great to see it- I forgot that the Muppets used to have a segment on SNL.

When I watch Fred Phelps I can't help but wonder if he makes all of these horrible statements because he thinks its funny according to some vile sense of humor. If not, the man is bonkers.

I have mixed feelings about Phelps. On one hand, he's a near-constant source of entertainment. On the other, the bastard claims to belong to the same religion as me. Now if only his followers would start blowing themselves up in public places, I might be able to identify with the average Muslim. I'm not sure if that would be a good thing or not, to tell the truth.
