I am finally ready to burn the "real thing" at home. Sadly, I basically needed to clear out a few more gigs of space on my drive. I'm actually burning it from the mounted iso (a "virtual" disc drive), so hopefully that will work. Otherwise you need nearly 18 gigs free space (for both the image and the files once you've dragged and fixed them). I feel sorry for all the other newbies who are trying to get this thing burned properly!
torrent ISO, dameon tools, drag, apply fix, burn with Nero! I wish I'd learned that sooner... !
Getting the Purist edition from rapidshare was a pain, but having access to a computer lab sure made it go a lot faster! (since each computer has a unique IP address, meaning you don't have to wait, just go to rapidshare through a different pc!).
