Can you do a quick like cut and paste and see what the SD in the Hoth shot would look like under the Executor? Looks like it would be a little lost, unless the brightness level was adjusted or something.

I had to make the shadowed SD a bit bigger, but not so much you'd notice. No other adjustments were made.
That was way too fast. Don't expect such a quick turn around time very often.

How do you guys pronounce "Executor"? I like to say it where it sounds like "x-eck-cute-er" "Mr. Jones is the 'executor' of the estate". But sometimes I've heard it where it sounds like "x-uh-cute-er". "The man who pulled the switch on the electric chair is the executer" (even though the true word would be 'executioner'.
If once you start down the dark path... wear comfortable shoes.
I used to say the second one, until I was corrected by my linguist roommate, so now I say it like an estate sale. It's definately supposed to be pronounced like that.

I believe it's "Eggs-eck-u-tor" - that's how I've heard it pronounced in the past, anyway.

That was a shot I mentioned earlier as needing better lighting on the Executor, so I'll probably make another mockup tomorrow with that worked on.

I dont know how to post a pictue of the clip, but that was always something that took me out of that scene of the movie. I posted this before but nobody chimmed in so any boby want to give this a look and opinion also Can that be fixed.
I tried it via cut & paste, but it didn't work. But a recolouring & contrast change did improve things.
What makes this shot look weird isn't the colouring though rather than the fact that the star destroyers aren't flying parrallel. Granted, they wouldn't have to, as there is no up and down in space, but it still looks weird.
Especially with the lighting coming from below but only reaching the smaller ship.
Fixing this shot would be a LOT of work...

Tell me exactly what line it follows. I know the movie verbatum so I can do it that way. I'll try to post the clip for you to rapidshare or youtube or both.

Right after Luke line it cuts to Yoda then yoda sighs then Luke grabs his jacket and and sits down and pouts, so the scene is righrt after luke fails to raise his ship in the swamp and steps to Yoda and Luke says it's too big and then Yoda explains the force and Lukes reply is you want the impossible, look at youll see the set sink in around the Yoda puppet. Thanks

It's exactly that spot - chapter 31, 1:11:24 on the '04 disc, 1:10:50 on the GOUT.
Low shot, "Yoda-eye" level. Luke stands up..."You want the impossible."
...then just as Luke starts to walk away, the first step he takes is his left foot nearest Yoda, you see the ground dip and raise maybe 1/2" with the fall and lift of his foot.

I personally didn't add that because as stated... it's a swamp... a bog... the ground will do that... plus I figured it would be a lot of work for little pay off... but I'll add it if it'll appease people...
I mean, I live in florida. I've walked around swamps and stuff... and thats exactly what its like... you step and almost fall... sometimes the mud on the bottom of the water can look one level. You step and you sing 3 feet... and then get bitten by something... it's... unpleasant...

When I watch it thats what I tell my self, that its a swamp, but knowing it is actually the set and probably a piece of carcboard sinking in and bounceing back with Frank OZ underneth makes it stick out.
Either way, it's something to add to the list. As has been said plenty already, Ady will make the final decision.
