Ladyferry,

I respectfully and passionately disagree with your stance on Boba Fett's voice. In 1979 when they were filming Empire, there was a narrative and artistic reason they chose the voice they did for Boba Fett, and that gravelly sinister mysterious voice was just as responsible as the intricate costume for catapulting Fett into the mythic status he held with all of the kids in my generation growing up in the early 1980s. Boba Fett proved his perfection long ago and his popularity did not simply endure, but increased in those middle years after the Star Wars Trilogy. Changing Boba Fett's voice was needlessly revisionist in the wrong direction. While we're at it, why don't we digitally give Han Solo a haircut and replace the Emperor's understated hood with that overblown wavy monstrosity he wears in the Prequels?

Simply put, Boba Fett's original voice is as iconic as James Earl Jones' for Vader and part of the Star Wars landscape. Why did Lucas see it unnecessary to replace all of Vader's lines with a filtered Hayden Christensen, but went to the pains of excising Fett, who in some polls is the more popular character? No one knows, but it doesn't work and Morrison's line deliveries are inferior to Wingreen's by a wide parsec. I agree with Ady on this one - leave Fett's voice as it was in 1980.
