Hi Ady,

First time poster on Original Trilogy altho i've been lurking for a good couple of years. Loved the ANH-R and loving all the ideas being thrown around for ESB.

Anyway, i know there might be more activity via pm but I hadn't see an update from Ady regarding his monitor. I may be able to help out as I have access to discounts for a couple of the major manufacturers.

Also, depending on where you are in the UK i could give you my old LCD as I bought a new one in february if yo uare sturgling with your old 15" :)

If you're interested feel free to pm me.

thanks for the offer. i have seen the monitor that's perfect for what i need but i'm still a way off affording it yet. I went around all the electrical & computer stores and tested all their monitors and the best one i found was the 22" Gateway one at staples. I was actually disappointed on just how bad the colour system was on the higher priced ones. They all suffered with horrible colour banding and their viewing angles were no where near what the specs suggested. if you moved slightly from the centre of the screen the colours changed, whxixh as you can understand is no good for me. I was totally shocked just how good the Gateway one was, and for a lot less money than the rest (had to have DVI input & all others, even some that were £50 more, had VGA input only. If anyone is looking for a new 22" widescreen monitor for less than £200 then get the Gateway one. You can even rotate the screen and it automatically rotates the desktop with it, so you don't have to manually rotate it in windows. On top of that it has SVHS, Component, Composite DVI & VGA inputs with Picture in Picture function. I can't wait to get my hands on this baby. Luckily the guy at my local Staples has put one on one side for me because they are almost out of stock at the sale price (usual price was £250). And it has a 3 year guarantee
